Welcome to my adventure in the world of blogging. I caught the genealogy bug and love of history from my mother and her mother. I enjoy learning about the events and circumstances that influenced the lives of my ancestors and caused them to cross the Atlantic Ocean and "the great american desert" in search of a better life for themselves and their children.
I started this blog as a way to honor the lives of my ancestors and tell their stories. It is also a way for me to organize my thoughts and my research, and to share the records, photos and information so carefully compiled and preserved by my mother and grandmother.
